Alterlyset’s natural candles have become a modern design classic since the 1950s when they were first introduced to the market.

With a penchant for industrial design, Jens Andreas Dahl Hansen created a sculptural and timeless candle that did not require a candlestick or candelabra. Instead, the candle was meant to be placed directly on a table or the floor. The innovative shape of the candle has remained the same and has become an iconic Danish design classic.

Alterlyset candles may be placed directly on a fire-resistant surface and does not require a candle holder. Make sure to place the Alterlyset candle in a draft-free place to prevent dripping and staining. Trim the wick down to half a centimetre before lighting the candle.
